Booking Consultant

Brief overview of the position:
To supply the allocated hospitals with high calibre of nurses as per the hospital requirements and ensuring a database with a pool of standby nurses is available to fill in where necessary.

Minimum Experience and Skills required:
● Matric
● Post matric certificate in call centre/office and business management
● Minimum 2 years administration work experience.
● Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
● Computer literacy (Ms Office Suite)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Receive recruitment requests from hospitals, find suitable nursing candidates to fill requests, make placements and confirm bookings.
2. Phone allocated hospitals on daily basis to ensure they have adequate staff for the next shift.
3. Phone allocated hospitals to ensure that nurses booked for the day have arrived on duty.
4. Handling cancellations from hospitals and absent nurses
5. Notifying new recruits of their test results
6. Following up on outstanding registration documents
7. Responsible for screening of nursing candidates in terms of required documentation for registration
8. Arranging new nurses for orientation when necessary and constant engagement with the Clinical Team responsible for allocated hospitals.
9. Deal with general enquiries and requests for information from nurses
10. Consultants are responsible for a call phone (24 hours) as per prearranged times.
11. Conduct background checks not limited to fingerprint through Lexis Nexis system for criminal records and at least two reference checks per nursing candidate.
12. Submit all candidates that have passed their tests and assessment to Superiors for orientation.
13. Assist the Clinical Team in booking nurse for BLS trainings.
14. Submit monthly bookings and placement report within set deadlines.
15. Perform any other reasonable duties as and when assigned by the Superior.
